Sorry, there are no future dates available
Rescheduled to Sunday 2nd October!
To celebrate their 50th anniversary, the Ermine Street Guard are making a welcome return to Cirencester amphitheatre!
Bring a picnic and come along to spend a day with the Romans in Cirencester’s wonderful amphitheatre.
Their displays will take place at 11.30 am and 2.30 pm and will feature aspects of a Roman soldier’s training, a demonstration of combat formations and artillery displays.
Throughout the day, you can explore the living history camp to find out how Roman soldiers would have lived, the tools they used and the food they ate. Ideal for children studying Romans at school.
NB: There is no parking at the amphitheatre, so we ask people to walk to the site if possible. Most car parks in the centre of town (apart from The Brewery) are free on Sundays.
Free parking is also available at Cotswold District Council offices, Trinity Road, Cirencester GL7 1PX on Sundays.
Date/ time: Sunday 18th September from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm.
Cost: FREE
Ages: All welcome
